 We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and driven   **Sous Chef**   to join our culinary leadership team.

**About the Role:**

As Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in the daily operation of our kitchen. Working closely with the Executive Chef and culinary leadership team, you will oversee service execution, team development, food quality, sanitation, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate leads by example, remains calm under pressure, and is dedicated to creating an environment where both guests and team members can succeed.

**What You'll Do:**

- Support and oversee all kitchen operations during service
- Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Ensure recipes and culinary standards are executed flawlessly

**Team Development**

- Lead, coach, and motivate kitchen team members
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training efforts
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism
- Help develop future culinary leaders within the organization

**Operations & Execution**

- Manage kitchen workflow in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Monitor prep, production, and service execution
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with inventory, ordering, scheduling, and labor management
- Ensure compliance with all NYC Department of Health regulations and company policies

**Business Performance:**

- Support food cost and labor goals
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional quality
- Contribute to overall restaurant success through strong execution and leadership

**What We're Looking For Required Qualifications** 
- Experience in a high-volume, upscale restaurant environment
- Exceptional culinary skills and attention to detail
- Current NYC Department of Health Food Protection Certificate
- Open availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Passion for hospitality and culinary excellence
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining composure and professionalism

**Preferred**

- Experience leading kitchen teams
- Fine dining or luxury hospitality experience
- Strong understanding of food cost control and kitchen operations
