## Job Description

At Sage Alliance Schools, we support students in grades 5-12 through rigorous academics paired with therapeutic services. Guided by care, resilience, and community, we prepare students to thrive inside and outside the classroom. Join our team and empower students to succeed.

In this role, you will be responsible for a special education classroom (grades 2-4) designed for students who struggle with emotional self-regulation, anxiety, and/or behavioral challenges.

What You'll Need

- Valid New Jersey teaching certification (Special Education K-12)

- Bachelor's degree in a related field

- Subject area certification and/or relevant classroom experience

- Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning

- Excellent communication and classroom management skills

- Experience with Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs)

- Self-contained teaching experience

- Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Training in verbal de-escalation and restraint

What You'll Do

- Develop and deliver engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards

- Create a safe and supportive classroom that encourages participation and curiosity

- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and styles

- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate updates to families and staff

- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and professional growth
