School Based Speech & Language Pathologist (SLP)

Hourly Rate: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour - based on experience Location: Colorado; Onsite - School Setting

Position Summary RCM Healthcare Services is currently hiring School Based Speech & Language Pathologists (SLP) to help students explore their full potential by providing customized treatment plans and programs. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Services are provided in person, at the school, during the school day.

Preference will be given to SLPs who can work full time, in person.

Responsibilities Schedule / Shift

- Shift details: School Year - Full Time - Will follow Academic Calendar

- Contract length: School Year

Key Duties

- Assess and treat students with language, pragmatics, articulation, functional communication, voice, and fluency disorders that impact educational learning

- Utilize current assessment instruments to determine a student's skills and abilities in language, pragmatics, articulation, functional communication, voice, and fluency; provide intervention appropriate to the age and learning needs of each student

- Gather and organize information to write educationally-based Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ensure educational relevance when assessing and providing services

- Follow compliance laws for meeting federal and state mandates as well as local policies in the performance of duties such as IEP development, Medicaid billing, report writing, and treatment plan/therapy log development

- Communicate evaluation results at evaluation meetings and interpret assessments

Requirements Education

- Required: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology

Licenses & Certifications

- Required: Current Colorado Department of Education Special Service Provider License - Speech Language Pathologist

Skills

- 2+ years of experience with speech language and communication assessments used for students eligible for special education

- Lead for racial and educational excellence and work to dismantle systems of oppression and inequity in the community, while believing in and supporting all students so they feel seen and heard with access to high-quality education

- Must live and work with a permanent home address in Colorado while working with the school

- Ability, with or without accommodations, to meet the physical demands of the position
