## Job Description

**Advanced Practice Provider Cardiac Surgery Macon, GA** 

Piedmont Heart Institute is recruiting for a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join the Cardiac team in Macon, GA. 

This role will provide excellent patient care to our surgical patients. 

This is a PRN/ as needed opportunity and includes both weekday, weekend, and night call requirements. (a four-day work week with some weekend coverage and an average of one night of call per week.) 

In this role you will: 

- Round on postop patients
- First assist on all cardiac cases
- See inpatient consults
- Call/round is 1:3 weekends
- Manage ICU patients
- Opportunity exists to also participate in (Provide) office consults with (one day per week with a designated) surgeons
- EVH and chest closure in the OR
- Thoracentesis and chest tube insertion and care

Qualifications - External 

Qualifications 

Qualified candidates will have 2-5 (1-2) years of cardiac surgery/EVH experience. 

Masters, Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program and National Board Certification 

or 

Licensed as a Nurse and approved to practice as a NP by State of Georgia with National Certification
