As a System Administrator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our IT infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Liaises effectively with third‑party partners, vendors, and external clients.
Main Responsibilities:
Support large environments of Windows & Linux servers and technologies: troubleshooting, proactive management, security management, backups, daily operation and optimization.
Support cloud workloads in IBM Cloud, including resource provisioning and cost monitoring.
Test and monitor network and server performance and provide performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
Assist in vulnerability assessments, patch cycles, and remediation efforts in line with company security policy.
Responsible for resolving all infrastructure break/fix issues and enhancements in a timely manner.
Liaise with third‑party partners/vendors for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies.
Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date system documentation.
Responsible for software licensing compliance.
Participate in an on‑call rotation to respond to infrastructure emergencies outside of regular business hours.
Qualifications
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science
5+ years hands‑on technical experience in troubleshooting network and hardware issues
Application support experience with MS Windows / Linux server and desktop environments
Virtualization Server setup and administration
Willing to work in on‑call shifts
Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment and make sound decisions in emergency situations
Ability to present ideas in a user‑friendly language
Highly self‑motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Proven analytical and problem‑solving abilities
Experience working in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment
Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, Fortinet, CompTIA and Cloud certifications) are an asset.
