Job Description Tax Associate (Energy & Transactional Tax) **Direct Counsel represents a prestigious AmLaw firm** seeking a Tax Associate to join its Charlotte, New York, or Washington, D.C. office.

**Locations:** Charlotte, NC | New York, NY | Washington, D.C.
**Experience:** 4–6 Years
**Compensation:** $270,000–$365,000

This is an excellent opportunity for a transactional tax attorney to work on sophisticated tax matters, including renewable energy projects, tax equity investments, and complex financing transactions.

**Ideal candidates will have experience with:**

- Transactional tax matters
- Renewable energy projects and tax credits
- Tax equity and credit transfer transactions
- Partnership, joint venture, and LLC agreements
- Tax aspects of equity and debt financings
- Tax provisions in M&A transactions
- Stock purchase, asset purchase, and merger agreements

**Qualifications:**

- J.D. from an accredited law school
- 4–6 years of transactional tax experience
- LL.M. in Taxation strongly preferred
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Excellent academic credentials and communication skills
- Ability to manage matters independently and work collaboratively
