## Job Description

**Role Description**

This is a full-time, Delhi-NCR-based Business Development / Technical Sales role focused on data centres.

The role will support the origination and conversion of relationships with hyperscalers, data centre operators, AI infrastructure companies, GCCs, Global 2000 occupiers, investors and other strategic counterparties. Working closely with the principals leading the platform, the candidate will identify prospects, generate first meetings, research decision-makers, capture customer requirements, prepare site and investment materials, maintain disciplined follow-up and progress opportunities towards commercial documentation.

The candidate should be comfortable holding working-level technical-commercial conversations covering power availability, rack density, cooling readiness, fibre connectivity, latency, redundancy, grid status and delivery timelines. The role will also involve maintaining CRM and data-room discipline, supporting LOIs, Heads of Terms and pre-commitment documentation, and monitoring developments across data centres, power, connectivity, policy and competitors.

This is a principal-supported origination role suited to someone with strong sales drive who is comfortable selling opportunities while the underlying assets are still being assembled. It is not a role for someone who needs a completed facility, reference site or published rate card before beginning serious customer engagement.

**Qualifications**

- 3 to 6 years of experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, Pre-Sales, Consulting or Infrastructure Advisory in one or more of the following areas: data centres or colocation; data centre infrastructure, including power, cooling, UPS, electrical systems, networking or connectivity hardware sold into data centres; power generation, transmission or grid, including renewable energy and corporate and industrial power offtake; cloud or AI compute infrastructure; telecom and fibre; or industrial and logistics real estate, particularly build-to-suit and pre-leased facilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology or a related technical discipline. IIT, NIT or comparable technical backgrounds are welcomed.
- Working knowledge of data centre fundamentals, including MW of IT load, rack density, air and liquid cooling, PUE, redundancy, tier requirements, floor loading and power density.
- Understanding of basic grid concepts, including indicated, applied-for and sanctioned capacity, CTU/STU/GNA processes, voltage levels and committed power delivery timelines.
- Working understanding of AI-driven data centre demand, including how training and inference workloads affect power density, cooling and latency requirements.
- Strong origination instinct and sales drive, with evidence of independently originating conversations, generating meetings and progressing opportunities from a cold start. Experience selling an asset, facility or capacity that was not yet built at the point of customer commitment is of particular interest. Candidates should be prepared to describe one such deal: what the customer signed, what was still uncertain at the time, and what gave the customer confidence to proceed.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, together with rigorous CRM, pipeline and documentation discipline.
- Direct experience in the Indian data centre sector, familiarity with hyperscalers, operators and subsea connectivity, knowledge of state data centre incentive frameworks, experience of long-dated infrastructure pre-commitment sales, and fluency in Hindi or another Indian language are preferred.
- The role will report to the principals leading the data centre platform, with a dotted line to the Managing Director. Pan-India and occasional international travel will be required.
