## Job Description

Coopman Search & Selection is partnering with a leading aviation finance and aircraft leasing platform to appoint a **Vice President / Junior Senior Vice President – Aviation Risk**.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced aviation risk professional to play a key role in assessing and managing portfolio risk across a global aviation platform. The successful candidate will work closely with commercial, investment, legal, and senior leadership teams to evaluate airline credit exposure, aircraft assets, transaction risk, and portfolio performance, supporting strategic decision-making across the business.

This opportunity is ideally suited to candidates with experience in aircraft leasing, aviation finance, aviation banking, airline credit, structured finance, portfolio risk, or enterprise risk management.

### Key Responsibilities

- Assess and monitor risk across a diversified portfolio of aircraft leasing and aviation finance transactions.
- Perform detailed airline credit analysis and ongoing counterparty risk assessments.
- Evaluate transaction structures, lease terms, security packages, and financing arrangements to identify and mitigate key risks.
- Prepare comprehensive risk assessments and recommendations for investment and credit approval committees.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks across airlines, regions, asset types, and market sectors.
- Conduct stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio reviews to support strategic decision-making.
- Partner with commercial, legal, technical, treasury, and asset management teams throughout the transaction lifecycle.
- Support the development and enhancement of risk management frameworks, policies, and reporting processes.
- Monitor macroeconomic, geopolitical, and aviation market developments that may impact portfolio performance.
- Present risk findings and recommendations to senior management and executive stakeholders.

### Candidate Profile

- Significant experience within aircraft leasing, aviation finance, aviation banking, airline credit, portfolio risk, or a related risk management function.
- Strong understanding of aviation leasing structures, airline financial analysis, and aircraft-backed financing.
- Experience evaluating complex aviation transactions and providing commercial risk recommendations.
- Strong analytical, financial modelling, and credit assessment capabilities.
- Excellent commercial judgement with the ability to balance risk and business objectives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior decision-makers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced, international environment.

### Preferred Background

- Aircraft leasing or aviation finance experience.
- Airline credit or portfolio risk management expertise.
- Experience within banking, lessors, export credit, investment management, or aviation advisory.
- Exposure to portfolio monitoring, transaction underwriting, or enterprise risk frameworks.
- Knowledge of global aviation markets and industry dynamics.
