About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP, Data & AI to lead the development of a robust data and AI foundation that will be instrumental in defining its competitive position. This executive leadership role is pivotal in shaping the enterprise data strategy, platform, and governance, as well as leading the AI and machine learning capabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing a multi-year data platform roadmap, integrating EHR data, and creating a responsible AI and ethics framework.

A key aspect of the role is to operate as a thought leader in data and AI, partnering with cross-functional teams, and to build and lead a high-performing team of data and AI professionals. The VP will also be accountable for investment and vendor management, making strategic decisions, and ensuring the highest standards of data quality and governance. Applicants for the VP, Data & AI role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' experience in data, analytics, or AI leadership, with a strong background in building enterprise data platforms at scale, particularly in a healthcare setting.

The role requires hands-on experience in leading AI/ML initiatives and a proven track record in team building and talent development. Preferred qualifications include experience in ambulatory surgery, surgical specialty, or multi-site healthcare networks, as well as familiarity with FDA Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) regulatory framework for clinical AI. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree in a related field and technical depth in cloud data platforms, healthcare interoperability, ML frameworks, and data governance tooling.

The leadership profile should reflect a balance of technical and executive skills, with a strong commitment to responsible AI and the ability to attract and develop top talent.
