Covers accounts, job listings, applications, user content, prohibited… # Terms & Conditions Last updated: 7 August 2026 These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website confidential.careers, together with any subdomains and related services operated under the same brand (collectively, the "Platform"). By accessing or using the Platform you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform. ## 1. Definitions - "Confidential Careers", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the operator of the Platform. - "User" means any person who accesses or uses the Platform, whether or not they hold an account. - "Job Seeker" means a User who uses the Platform to discover, apply for, or be matched to employment opportunities. - "Employer" or "Recruiter" means any person or organisation whose job listings appear on the Platform, whether through direct posting, feed syndication, or our managed recruiting service. - "Content" means any text, images, data, files, or other material displayed on, submitted to, or transmitted through the Platform. - "User Content" means Content that a User submits, uploads, or transmits, including resumes, profiles, saved-search preferences, and messages. ## 2. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Platform. By using the Platform you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation to these Terms. ## 3. Nature of the Service Confidential Careers is a job aggregation and recruiting platform. We collect and display job listings from Employers, Recruiters, and third-party feed providers, and we operate a managed recruiting service for a subset of confidential and executive roles. We are not an employer, staffing agency of record, or party to any employment relationship that may result from your use of the Platform. All hiring decisions, employment terms, compensation, work eligibility, background checks, and contractual arrangements are the sole responsibility of the Employer or Recruiter posting the role. ## 4. Accounts ### 4.1 Registration Certain features (saved jobs, alerts, the job-seeker portal) require an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it up to date. ### 4.2 Account security You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. ### 4.3 One account per person You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent limits, suspensions, or eligibility checks, or impersonate any person or organisation. ### 4.4 Suspension or termination We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in unlawful conduct, or created risk for other Users. ## 5. Job Listings - Listings are sourced from Employers, Recruiters, aggregation feeds, and partner networks. We do our best to keep them current, but we do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, legality, or availability of any listing. - Listings may expire, change, be reposted, or be removed at any time without notice. - Salary ranges, when shown, are estimates based on public data and may not reflect actual compensation. - We may add, remove, deduplicate, re-title, re-categorise, or geo-restrict listings at our discretion. - Any interaction with, application to, or agreement arising from a listing is strictly between you and the Employer or Recruiter. ## 6. Applying for Jobs When you click "Apply Now" on a listing you are redirected to the Employer or Recruiter's own application system. Your application, CV, and any information you submit through that system are received and processed by them under their own terms and privacy practices — not ours. Do not send resumes, CVs, or applications by email to our support address. Applications sent by email are not forwarded to Employers or Recruiters and will not be considered. To be considered for a role you must apply through the listing's Apply link, or register with our job-seeker service at /job-seeker-plans. ## 7. Job-Seeker Service (CV Uploads, Matching, Alerts) If you register a job-seeker profile and upload a CV, the following apply: - You retain full ownership of your CV and profile data. - You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, process, index, and display that data solely to operate the service — for example, to match you against relevant roles, present you to Employers or Recruiters you have opted to be shown to, and send you alerts you have subscribed to. - You confirm that all information you provide is true, current, and yours to submit. - You may update, export, or delete your profile at any time from your account, or by contacting us. Deletion may be subject to a short retention period for backup and audit purposes. - Where we operate the managed recruiting service, we handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and do not transfer identifying details to any third-party LLM or analytics provider. ## 8. Employers and Recruiters Employers and Recruiters who post listings or use the managed recruiting service do so under a separate agreement or under the terms of the feed provider from whom their listings are syndicated. If you are an Employer or Recruiter, you additionally represent that: - You have the right to post the listing and to solicit applications for the role. - The role is genuine, currently open, and not fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory. - Any personal data you provide about your organisation's contacts has been collected lawfully. - You will honour applicable equal-opportunity, wage-transparency, and hiring-practice laws in the jurisdictions in which the role is offered. We may edit, refuse, or remove any listing at our discretion, including for suspected fraud, low quality, or breach of these Terms. ## 9. Communications By creating an account or subscribing to alerts you consent to receive service-related emails and, where you have opted in, job-alert emails. You may unsubscribe from marketing or alert emails at any time using the link in the message; we may still send you transactional and security emails. Web-push notifications are opt-in and can be revoked at any time from your browser settings or through the notifications preference in your account. ## 10. User Content You are solely responsible for User Content you submit. You represent and warrant that (a) you own or have the necessary rights to submit it, (b) it does not infringe any third party's rights, (c) it is not unlawful, defamatory, deceptive, or harmful, and (d) it does not contain viruses or malicious code. We may remove User Content that we believe violates these Terms. ## 11. Acceptable Use You agree not to: - Scrape, crawl, harvest, or use any automated means to extract data from the Platform, other than crawlers we explicitly allow (for example, in robots.txt). - Reverse-engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code from any part of the Platform. - Post, submit, or transmit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or that infringes any intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity right. - Use the Platform to send spam, phishing messages, or unsolicited commercial communications. - Interfere with, disrupt, degrade the performance of, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform or any related systems. - Bypass, disable, or circumvent any security, rate-limit, authentication, or geo-restriction mechanism. - Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organisation. - Use the Platform in violation of any applicable law or regulation. ## 12. Third-Party Content and Links The Platform contains listings, links, and content originating from third parties. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for third-party content. Once you leave the Platform via an Apply link or external link, the destination site's own terms and privacy practices apply. ## 13. Intellectual Property The Platform's design, source code, logos, branding, editorial content, taxonomies, and compilation of listings are protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other intellectual-property laws and are owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. All other rights are reserved. Job-listing content remains the property of the respective Employer or Recruiter or feed provider. ## 14. Trademarks "Confidential Careers" and the Confidential Careers logo are trade marks of Confidential Careers. Other names, logos, and brands displayed on the Platform are the property of their respective owners; their appearance does not imply any endorsement by or affiliation with us. ## 15. Privacy Your use of the Platform is subject to our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect personal data. The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference. ## 16. Cookies The Platform uses only essential cookies required for site functionality and security. See the Privacy Policy for details. ## 17. Disclaimer of Warranties THE PLATFORM AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ACCURACY. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT (a) THE PLATFORM WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, (b) ANY LISTING IS CURRENT, ACCURATE, OR LAWFUL, (c) YOU WILL OBTAIN ANY INTERVIEW, OFFER, OR EMPLOYMENT THROUGH THE PLATFORM, OR (d) SALARY OR OTHER ESTIMATED DATA IS ACCURATE. ## 18. Limitation of Liability TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL CONFIDENTIAL CAREERS, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, EMPLOYMENT, OR OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE PLATFORM, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE PLATFORM WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED INDIAN RUPEES (INR 100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, WHICHEVER IS GREATER. ## 19. Indemnification You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Confidential Careers and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claim, demand, loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to (a) your use of the Platform, (b) your User Content, (c) your breach of these Terms, or (d) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party. ## 20. Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. You may stop using the Platform at any time and may delete your account from your account settings. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — will survive. ## 21. Changes to the Service We may add, modify, or discontinue features of the Platform at any time. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Platform. ## 22. Changes to These Terms We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Platform. ## 23. Governing Law and Jurisdiction These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter, are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The competent courts located in India will have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence. ## 24. Force Majeure We are not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, labour disputes, epidemic, network or utility outages, or the failure of third-party services or feed providers. ## 25. Miscellaneous - Entire agreement. These Terms and the Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform and supersede any prior agreements on the same subject. - Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. - No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of that provision. - Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign them without restriction. - Headings. Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation. - Notices. Notices to us must be sent to the contact address below.
