The Consumer Lifestyle team at The Brand Guild partners with some of the most exciting, culture-shaping brands in the country - those that are defining "what's next" - and we are seeking a Senior Public Relations Manager to join that team and help to lead our dynamic portfolio of brands. Our ideal candidate is someone who has a minimum of 6 years of experience in agency public relations and has a strong desire to work with industry-leading clients in the consumer lifestyle space. You Are: A PR professional with at least 6 years of experience working with consumer brands (agency experience preferred) A self-starter who is a greater writer and loves the thrill of landing a great pitch, who can craft and execute the big stories from start to finish A confident client lead with a proven track record of managing accounts end-to-end; someone who can serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, lead day-to-day communications, can anticipate client needs, and identifying opportunities to grow and deepen partnerships A strategic thinker and problem solver who understands strategy development and executes campaigns and integrated media plans.
Experienced in mentoring junior team members, delegating effectively, and overseeing execution to ensure quality and results A curious person who loves to stay on top of the latest brands, trends, and industry news Someone who thrives in and wants to contribute to an energetic environment and cohesive culture You Will: Serve as the day-to-day contact and thought partner for a portfolio of clients in the consumer lifestyle space Develop a deep understanding of each client's business including general business strategy, industry issues, products and services, key customers, and competitors in the marketplace Develop and drive communications strategies for a range of clients Prepare spokespeople for media interviews through the development of messaging and talking points and in-depth media training when required Conduct proactive media outreach, prepare press releases, media briefings, messaging documents, coverage reports and communications plans Ensure ongoing monitoring of editorial calendars and proactive pitching of story ideas, news developments and expert sources to media Mentor and manage junior staff members and interns Develop and maintain strong relationships with regional and national press Perform in-depth research to support communications and messaging Analyze, measure and report on communications and media projects You Have: 6 years of public relations experience working with consumer/lifestyle brands within an agency setting AbIlity to independently manage multiple projects and clients Ability to find and develop stories, and drive visibility from creating major moments to developing a drum beat of ongoing pitches Ability to provide essential support for press initiatives including research, writing and strategic thinking Understanding of media needs and media relationships Ability to work with all levels on the team, from interns to senior staff Why you'll love working here: People-first culture: A supportive, high-energy team that values creativity, collaboration, and balance Professional development: Annual stipend, training programs, and mentorship opportunities Comprehensive benefits: Fully paid medical, dental, and vision; FSA; life and disability insurance; 401(k) with 4% match Time to recharge: Robust PTO policy (~44 days annually!), including mental health days, Summer Fridays, and generous paid family leave Hybrid flexibility: Three in-office days designed for connection, collaboration, and creativity Exciting clients: Work with best-in-class consumer brands that are shaping culture The Brand Guild is an equal opportunity employer.
