Accountant – On-site (Pune)

Location: Pune, Maharashtra

We’re looking for a skilled Accountant who can bring structure, accuracy, and insight to our financial operations as we scale rapidly.

Role Overview:

The Accountant will be responsible for handling all accounting and financial activities of the organization. From daily bookkeeping to monthly reporting, GST filing, and expense management — you will be the financial backbone ensuring smooth and compliant operations. The role requires someone who is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable taking full ownership of accounting functions on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of accounting — bookkeeping, ledger entries, invoicing, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, profit & loss accounts, and balance sheets.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and expense tracking.
  • Handle GST, TDS, and other statutory returns and ensure timely filings.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate cash flow records.
  • Support internal audits and assist in external audits when required.
  • Collaborate with the management team for budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
  • Maintain documentation for all accounting and financial transactions in an organized manner.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for better financial efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com preferred).
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in accounting.
  • Strong working knowledge of Tally ERP
  • Sound understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and general financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently in an on-site setup.
