We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable GL Accountant to join our accounting team. The GL Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. This role ensures compliance with accounting principles and supports the accuracy of financial reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Reconcile balance sheet, bank accounts, and subsidiary ledgers on a monthly basis.
- Prepare and maintain Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules, including reconciliations and analysis.
- Perform job costing analysis to ensure accurate allocation of costs to projects.
- Assist with percentage-of-completion calculations and reconciliations for revenue recognition.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies in accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and relevant accounting standards.
- Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in GL or corporate accounting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
