Role OverviewThe Accounting & Payroll Supervisor oversees payroll operations and supports accounting functions, acting as a bridge between finance and other departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, knowledgeable, approachable, and committed to fostering positive relationships.
ResponsibilitiesPayroll Management- Support labor cost analysis and productivity monitoring with the Assistant Director of Finance.
- Analyze month-end payroll reports to inform strategic decisions.
- Participate in bi-weekly payroll forecasting and variance analysis.
- Assist with month-end processes, accruals, and payroll journals.
- Ensure accurate, timely payroll processing compliant with local laws.
- Review reports, resolve discrepancies, and collaborate with HR on employee data.
- Maintain internal controls and policies.
- Support day-to-day accounting tasks like journal entries and reconciliations.
- Work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams.
- Assist with income auditing to verify revenue accuracy.
- Act as liaison between finance and operational departments.
- Mentor junior team members and participate in audits.
- Prepare documentation for external audits and regulatory bodies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Knowledge of payroll systems, accounting software, and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Understanding of payroll components like income tax and social security.
- Legal right to work in Spain and fluency in English and Spanish.
