We are currently looking for an Application Engineer in our Downstream group. You will primarily work with Sales Representatives to execute service plans in strategic district accounts, completing contractual services and providing problem-solving support to customers.

- Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to implement customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans.
- Assist with plant surveys of prospective customers and support startups of new applications in existing and new accounts.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in your assigned accounts and support other District Sales Representatives.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot customer issues, and escalate as necessary.
- Perform system analysis, interpret data, and provide written recommendations to optimize customer operations.
- Support services such as sample testing, maintenance, customer service, report generation, chemical ordering, and inventory management.
- Promote Nalco innovations and technology within your territory.
- Travel within the sales territory, including Tarragona, Catalonia, as needed.
- Coordinate and troubleshoot technical jobs and support route territory activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial) or Life Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, etc.).
- At least 1 year of successful technical or field sales support experience.
- Experience in water treatment or the specialty chemicals industry.
- Willingness to travel overnight up to 25% of the time.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Experience related to well service stimulation business.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Background in refinery or petrochemical sectors.
- Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater treatment systems.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and internal business systems.
