Associate Director, Financial Controller CL 1112
Ongoing - Sydney
This role is a Clerk Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $145,378 - $168,130 base plus superannuation, commensurate with experience.
About the Role
The Associate Director, Financial Controller manages and controls the financial and accounting services for INSW, ensuring accurate, efficient and timely delivery, whilst complying with relevant statutory accounting, taxation and Treasury guidelines, associated accounting standards and the INSW's policies and procedures.
Some of the key accountabilities include:

  • Lead the preparation of INSW's statutory reports as well as financial reporting requirements to enable completion of the Annual Report.
  • Collaborate with NSW Treasury to ensure compliance with Treasury directions and statutory auditing and reporting requirements.
  • Lead the financial relationship with the outsourced financial service provider to ensure compliance with all agreements and SLAs.
  • Manage complex briefing notes and reports on issues relating to financial accounting and reporting.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate and compliant systems, standards and policies and ensure internal financial and technical controls are working effectively to implement program strategies and to support the objectives of INSW.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • CA/CPA or equivalent with extensive relevant practical experience.
  • Extensive experience in financial management at a senior level including managing the year end process and annual audit engagement.
  • Highly proficient in technical accounting.
