Job Description Position : Associate Manager – Finance Qualification: C A – Chartered Accountant, CMA Location: Bangalore, India Experience: Total Experience of 8+ Years in manufacturing sector with hands on experience in costing MNC exposure advantage, Consumable Products background is preferable Languages: English, Hindi, Kannada speaking (Preferable) Salary: 15 to 20 Lakh INR per annum Role Overview: Responsible for all general costing activities related to the plant. Ensure accurate Standard costs are computed and published every year for all the products manufactured by the Plant. Also ensure that new product costs are published in a timely manner based on the requirement. Set up a Robust Cost Accounting structure and system to derive accurate costs. Preparation of Manufacturing variances and Costing Journals on monthly basis and then accounting the same to reflect the correct financial. Ensure all month end reports on regional and corporate reporting are delivered timely and accurately. Ensure various general ledger accounts are reconciled and ensure all balances are identifiable and cleared up on a timely basis. Physical verification and valuation of Inventory and Inventory aging analysis to ensure correctness and reasonableness of inventories reported. Actual Product cost at the end of each month. The cost should be based on actual expenses in the financial. Completing all the reports on time based on the reporting requirement. Active involvement in Budget preparation by providing variance analysis. Responsible for coordinating the year-end audit requiring communication with Auditors and ensuring accounts are audited on a timely manner and most efficiently. All supporting schedules and information to be made available to the auditors before the start of the audit. Authorization of Account payable bills timely in order for processing them for payment. Ensure all cost/inventory related reports to external parties (HSBC stock report/ ECB monthly return etc) are submitted timely. Suggest and implement Lean ideas in Finance and ensure 5S in Finance. Fixed Assets management including capitalization, reconciliation and Depreciation accounting. Any other duties as directed. Ability to achieve respective KPIs as per the targets. This job description is subject to change by the Management to suit changing requirements from time to time. Maintain Safe & Healthy work environment including safety of people, assets & properties of the company. Should be aware of the EHS Policies & Procedures. Reporting of EHS activities /concerns /incidents /near miss and accidents. Ensure no injuries at workplace. Financial Expertise and Acumen : This includes a comprehensive understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. Mastery in these areas ensures the ability to create accurate financial statements, develop sound financial strategies, and manage the company's financial health. Business Insight : They must possess the foresight to understand financial goals that align with the company's long-term vision. This skill involves need to think beyond numbers, understanding the broader business landscape and how financial decisions impact overall company performance. Leadership and People Management : Effective leadership is a cornerstone for success in the role of a Plant Finance controller. This skill type encompasses the ability to lead and develop a high-performing finance team, set clear objectives, and motivate staff to achieve them. It also includes the capacity to collaborate with other senior leaders and contribute to executive-level decision-making. A Plant Finance controller with strong leadership skills can inspire confidence, drive change, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. Exposure to Global Financial Functions : As businesses continue to operate on a global scale, this skill involves understanding international markets, currency fluctuations, and cross-border financial regulations. Work closely with Plant Finance controller in developing and executing financial strategies that optimize global operations and investments.
