Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining server-side applications and services. You will play a crucial role in building robust, scalable, and efficient systems that support our web and mobile applications. Your work will involve collaborating with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable and reliable backend services and APIs.
Work with databases, ensuring data integrity and performance.
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Maintain and improve existing codebases and contribute to code reviews.
Ensure security best practices are followed in application development.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and propose improvements to current systems.
Skills and Tools Required:
Proficiency in one or more backend programming languages such as NodeJS, Python services
Experience with web frameworks like Django, Spring, Ruby on Rails, or
Strong knowledge of database management systems, both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL).
Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Understanding of cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Knowledge of software testing and CI/CD processes.
