Our client is a leading international Biotechnology company with a state-of-the-art aseptic manufacturing facility in Dun Laoghaire, South Dublin.

In this role, you will join the Global Quality Control network and play a key role in E2E Quality Transformation and the QC Optimization Initiative.
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control (QC) Specialist with Data Scientist expertise to join our QC Network Team as a key contributor to the QC Digital Optimization Team.
This role is critical for transforming how QC laboratories and operations leverage data to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance.
The ideal candidate has experience working in a QC laboratory setting, understands QC processes and regulations, and has expertise in analyzing complex QC data streams.
You will apply advanced data analytics to extract actionable insights, optimize workflows, and drive digital transformation in quality operations.

Responsibilities include analyzing complex QC data, collaborating with analysts, developing business cases, supporting reporting models, automating reporting, ensuring data integrity, optimizing workflows, partnering with stakeholders, supporting executive communications, maintaining reports, working with IT and data teams, and driving innovation in digital QC strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in QC or Manufacturing, focusing on data analysis and digital optimization.
- Deep knowledge of laboratory operations, analytical testing, workflows, and regulations (GMP, GLP, FDA, ISO).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and R.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Spotfire, Power BI, or Tableau.
- Experience with LIMS, MES, ELN, and digital QC systems.
- Strong background in statistical analysis, process monitoring, and root cause investigations.
- Experience with advanced statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms.
- Experience with Databricks platform, big data platforms, cloud analytics (AWS, Azure, GCP), and automation tools.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Experience in regulated industries like pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical devices.
- Knowledge of data governance, audit trails, and data security.
- Expertise in QC technology and digital transformation.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities.

Minimum 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
