Job Title: Information Systems (IS) Analyst Academics
Location: Hyderabad
Experience: 6+ Years (Minimum 3 years recent experience as a Business Analyst/Systems Analyst)
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Information Systems (IS) Analyst Academics to support our university's Academics department. The ideal candidate will ensure our Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS) are optimized for students, staff, and faculty, while driving process improvements and delivering impactful technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, document, and map academic processes across the university.
- Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements aligned with stakeholder needs.
- Translate academic needs into detailed technical specifications.
- Lead SIS/LMS improvement projects, perform testing, and prepare progress reports.
- Provide training to faculty and staff on SIS/LMS features and best practices.
- Create user guides, manuals, and training documentation.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SIS and LMS systems.
- Conduct workshops, surveys, and interviews to gather feedback and user requirements.
- Design and maintain internal academic department webpages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
- Experience with SIS in post-secondary/higher education preferred.
- Strong skills in process improvement, requirements gathering, and gap analysis.
- Technical skills: HTML, CSS, Python/JavaScript/PHP, SQL, Power BI.
- Experience with CRM, ERP, and BI tools.
- Knowledge of data privacy principles (Canadian context preferred).
- Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Experience with RPA tools like Power Automate or UiPath is a plus.
