**Job Description – Chemical Engineer**

**Position Overview**
We are looking for an experienced **Chemical Engineer** to join our chemical manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of chemical processes, production operations, plant safety, and quality standards. The role involves managing day-to-day plant operations, optimizing processes, improving product quality, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Monitor and control **chemical manufacturing processes**, ensuring smooth and safe plant operations.
* Develop and implement **process improvements** to increase efficiency and reduce production cost.
* Prepare and review **SOPs, work instructions**, and ensure compliance in daily operations.
* Work closely with production teams to optimize **reaction parameters, raw material usage, yield, and quality**.
* Conduct **root cause analysis** of process deviations, breakdowns, and quality issues.
* Ensure adherence to **safety standards, environmental guidelines, and statutory compliance**.
* Oversee installation, calibration, and maintenance support for **plant equipment**.
* Coordinate with **R&D, QA/QC, and maintenance** to ensure product consistency and smooth functioning.
* Prepare daily production reports, material balance sheets, and process data analysis.
* Participate in audits and support continuous improvement initiatives (**Kaizen, 5S, ISO, Lean**, etc.).
**Required Skills & Competencies**
* Strong understanding of **chemical reactions, unit operations, heat transfer, mass transfer, and process engineering**.
* Knowledge of **plant utilities**, equipment operation, and troubleshooting.
* Familiarity with **safety norms, MSDS, PPE usage**, and hazard management (HAZOP).
* Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret process data and solve problems.
* Excellent communication and team-coordination abilities.
* Proficiency in **process simulation tools** (optional based on requirement).

Pay: ₹25, ₹35,000.00 per month
