Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Chemical Engineer to join our team at a Gas or Bio-Gas production plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, monitoring, and optimizing chemical processes involved in gas purification, storage, and distribution. The role demands technical expertise in process engineering, safety compliance, and troubleshooting of equipment in a live plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Design & Optimization:
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for gas production, including anaerobic digestion (for biogas), gas purification, and bottling systems.
- Monitor process parameters and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and output.
- Plant Operations:
- Oversee daily plant operations ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with operations staff to maintain optimal performance of reactors, scrubbers, compressors, and pipelines.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with environmental standards, hazardous material handling, and safety protocols (HSE).
- Conduct risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and safety audits.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
- Identify and resolve issues in gas production and purification systems.
- Support mechanical and maintenance teams with technical input on equipment issues.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of process data, maintenance logs, incident reports, and regulatory submissions.
- Prepare regular performance and compliance reports for management.
- Research & Development (Optional):
- Contribute to R&D projects for process innovation and the development of new gas conversion technologies.
Qualifications:
- Dipoma. or B.Tech in Chemical, Process Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in natural gas, CNG, LNG, or biogas plant operations preferred.
- Knowledge of process simulation tools (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, CHEMCAD) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of chemical process design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
