Job Title: Civil Engineer

Reporting To: Project Engineer / Site Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, engineering and execution of civil works (earthworks, foundations, retaining structures, service roads, drainage, building structures, etc.).
- Review and interpret civil drawings / specifications; coordinate setting-out, layout and site measurements to ensure works align with design.
- Monitor day-to-day construction activities on site: supervise contractors/sub-contractors, ensure proper workmanship, materials compliance and workmanship quality.
- Prepare and maintain site documentation: daily progress reports, measurement sheets, material requisitions, non-conformance reports, and hand-over records.
- Interface with project engineering, procurement & construction teams, QA/QC, safety & environment teams to ensure integration of civil scope into overall project.
- Assist in cost estimation, quantity take-offs, schedule tracking (bar‐chart, progress tracking), and identification of delays or bottlenecks; support corrective action.
- Ensure civil works are executed safely and in compliance with company policies, site regulations, quality and environmental standards.
- Facilitate hand‐over of civil works to operations/maintenance teams; follow up on defects liability period and ensure proper documentation.
- Travel to site regularly and, if required, stay on site for extended periods; adapt to site working conditions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) from a recognized institution.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in civil construction / infrastructure projects – preferably in building/industrial/infrastructure environments.
- Good knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals: structural concrete, steel reinforcement, earthwork, drainage, service roads etc.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), ability to prepare reports; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drawing software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal); ability to interact with site teams, contractors and management.
- Self-driven, disciplined, able to work independently on site and as part of a project team.
- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel and/or stay at project sites.
- Knowledge or interest in working in environmental / industrial infrastructure domain (advantageous given company focus).
