About The Role
Are you an experienced in clinical management and seeking a fulfilling career move? Forest Lake Lodge presents an exciting opportunity for you to join our team. The typical work hours are 8am - 4:06pm, Monday to Friday, with participation in an on-call schedule shared among a dedicated team of 4.
As a part of the senior leadership team reporting to the General Manager this role will be expected to provide subject matter expertise in clinical care and oversee a team of RN's, ENs and PCWs. You will play a vital role in providing best-practice care for our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day clinical evaluations and care planning
- Oversee the CCs to provide leadership and support to the care team to ensure that consumers are receiving optimal care.
- Focus on embedding a clinical care culture, ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, and overseeing the implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Act as a key liaison between staff, residents, families, and external stakeholders.
- Managing clinical governance.
- Monitoring performance against key indicators.
- Ensuring the effective use of clinical systems to support quality care.
- Supporting the development of staff, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols, and contributing to continuous quality improvement.
- Leadership responsibilities extend to chairing meetings, ensuring proper reporting, and taking swift action when issues are escalated, or noncompliance is identified.
- The job aims to create a culture of excellence, safety, and continuous improvement in clinical care delivery.

- Registered Nursing Degree with unrestricted AHPRA registration.
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate.
- Extensive successful experience in clinical management within the aged care sector
- A comprehensive understanding of legislative, regulatory and evidence-based practice requirements related to aged care.
- Tech fluency including intermediate level use of Microsoft Office, and high-level use of clinical management and compliance software
- Demonstrated track record of compliance with The Aged Care Quality Standards
- Confident in managing performance of staff, and change management
- Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and
- Knowledge of the AN-ACC assessment suite related to care minutes and funding
- Knowledge of psycho-social needs of aged people
- Experience in the provision of contemporary nursing care including medication management, clinical assessment, and relevant documentation
- Understanding of financial reporting capabilities within a service delivery framework (desirable)
- Excellent leadership and delegation skills
- Emotionally intelligent with excellent interpersonal skills
- High level verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage time and priorities appropriately
- Strong leadership, communication and people management skills and ability to influence performance
- Demonstrated stakeholder management, communication, conflict management and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated skills in wound management, medication administration, continence, and palliative care
- Proven ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a highly regulated and complex environment
