Title and Summary

Content Designer (Senior Specialist) Overview

Mastercard is seeking a Content Designer to partner with product designers, product managers, researchers, and go-to-market teams.

Our customers include issuing banks, merchants, and payment service providers implementing our real-time payment solutions. We are building products to enable digital payment experiences at scale, such as Click to Pay and Secure Card on File (Tokenization). Our mission is to make payments simpler, more efficient, and more secure. Our customers' experiences are diverse and global.

The role involves planning and creating content for products, continually improving that content, and evolving our voice and content standards.

Role

• Work with a cross-functional team to enhance Mastercard’s digital payment experiences, ensuring content is consistent, on-brand, and meets user and business needs.
• Plan, write, edit, and test content, including product interface language (CTAs, labels), education materials, product names, navigation, and other content.
• Support research efforts to understand product comprehension and usability, and collaborate with designers and product managers to incorporate feedback.
• Analyze content performance with reporting and optimization teams to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure all content complies with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
• Collaborate with the design team to maintain design and content infrastructure.
• Advocate for a customer-centric approach, focusing on user problems and successful outcomes.

About You

We seek someone with the following skills and experience:

• Showcase previous content work, including samples across various content types like UI, microcopy, education, emails, style guides, or launch content.
• Experience in both high-level content strategy and detailed microcopy writing, combining these to create comprehensive user experiences.
• Strong research skills, comfortable conducting interviews, surveys, and IA research methods like card sorting and affinity mapping.
• Understanding of what works in consumer-facing products and its impact on interaction design.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality output in a large enterprise environment.
• Advanced proficiency in tools like Figma and FigJam.
