Job Description: Data Analyst
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data to generate actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, etc.).
- Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (business, marketing, finance, product, IT) to understand data needs.
- Translate complex findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders.
- Maintain databases, ensure data integrity, and contribute to process improvements.
- Support predictive and statistical analysis when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, or related field.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Basic programming knowledge in Python or R (preferred).
- Solid understanding of statistics, data cleaning, and exploratory analysis.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills to present findings in a clear, concise manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior internship or work experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence.
- Knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) or big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.
