Role Overview:
We’re looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join our Madrid-based team. You will work closely with quants, data scientists, and portfolio managers to design, build, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and infrastructure that power investment research and real-time decision-making.
Requirements:
- Multiple years of in-house experience building and scaling data pipelines and infrastructure (ideally in finance, big tech, or other data-intensive domains)
- Degree from a Top 5 university in Spain or a Top 200 global institution (STEM focus preferred)
- Strong Python and SQL skills; familiarity with Spark, Airflow, and related data tools
- Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL, and data architecture
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience working with financial or time-series data
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and data lake/data warehouse technologies
- Exposure to real-time data processing and stream frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink)
- Contributions to data engineering tooling or open-source projects
