Job Description
Our client is seeking a skilled Power Plant Equipment Designer to join its engineering team. This role involves designing, drafting, and maintaining technical drawings for large-scale power plant components, particularly air-cooled steam condensers and heat exchangers used in power generation and heavy industry.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD drawings for power plant equipment assemblies and components.
- Create detailed assembly and piece mark drawings for fabrication and installation.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
- Apply ASME codes and standards to all design work.
- Support R&D initiatives by contributing to innovative design solutions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and internal quality protocols.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve product performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design in power industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Tekla, MicroStation, or similar 3D modeling software.
- Strong understanding of geometry, welding practices, and ductwork design.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
