Director of Finance | High-Growth SaaS Company (New York, NY)
Our client is a rapidly growing SaaS company transforming how businesses scale through technology and data-driven insights. Backed by leading venture and growth equity investors, the company is entering its next stage of expansion and is seeking a strategic, analytical, and hands-on Director of Finance to join its leadership team.
The Opportunity
The Director of Finance will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, long-range planning, and business partnership across the organization. This is a high-visibility position reporting directly to the CFO, offering exposure to the executive team and board.
Ideal candidates bring a strong foundation in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting, combined with operating experience in SaaS or high-growth technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning and analysis (FP& A), including budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling for strategic decision-making
- Partner with the CFO on investor relations, board materials, and fundraising support
- Develop scalable financial models and KPIs to drive data-driven insights and operational excellence
- Lead strategic analyses on growth initiatives, pricing, M& A, and new product launches
- Implement and refine reporting tools, dashboards, and automation processes to enhance financial visibility
- Support and mentor a small, high-performing finance team as the organization scales
- Background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or management consulting required
- Experience in a SaaS or high-growth tech company (operating finance or strategic FP& A role)
- Strong modeling and analytical skills; advanced Excel and proficiency with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite, Adaptive, SQL, or similar)
- Exceptional communication and executive-level presentation skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and balance strategic and hands-on work
