Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer – Wiring Harness Design to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Zuken, automobile industries, and vehicle wiring harness (WH) design using advanced 3D modeling tools.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Design and develop wiring harness systems for passenger cars, commercial trucks, and EVs
- Create 3D wiring harness layouts for doors, tailgates, engine compartments, and battery cables
- Conduct DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for wiring harness and components
- Select and package harness clips and protection based on surrounding vehicle components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BIW, TRIMS, VIG) for harness routing integration
- Develop and analyze schematic logic for vehicle electrical systems
- Perform mechanical routing and design of coolant lines and hoses for passenger cars
- Conduct interference checks and ensure proper harness packaging
- Ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards for vehicle electrical systems
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong expertise in Wiring Harness Design & DFMEA
- Hands-on experience with Zuken
- Experience in Automobile Industry
- Solid knowledge of fuse rating calculations and harness protection
- Proficiency in 3D Wiring Harness Design & Packaging
- Familiarity with Automotive Electrical Systems and Design Rules
- Proficiency in tools like CATIA V5, NX, 3D EXPERIENCE, CAPITAL XC, and TEAMCENTER
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
