About UsAt ANZ, we're applying new ways technology and data can be harnessed as we work towards a common goal: to improve the financial wellbeing and sustainability of our millions of customers.
About the RoleAs the Domain Architect for ANZ’s Data domain, you will lead architecture and co-ordinate strategy for our end to hybrid-cloud data & analytics platforms. At ANZ, we have a federated data strategy based on data mesh concepts, data products on nodes of various technologies - we use Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) extensively. We also operate private cloud services on Openshift and Kubernetes. This role will be a pivotal, hands-on leadership role, rapidly gaining trust of the engineering community who enable and operate these services for ANZ on a daily basis as well as the business community relying on these services.
As ANZ accelerates our cloud migration journey, this role will work very collaboratively across the whole of ANZ’s business, with our business stakeholders, technology, cybersecurity and risk partners.
You will succeed by establishing a trusted technical advisor relationship for our Domain Lead for Data & Analytics, and our Domain Lead for Enterprise Finance & Data, as well as trusted peer relationships with the Technology Area Leads for Cloud Platforms, Enterprise Data Analytics, Data Management, Data Security and other technology function domain leads as needed. You’ll draw on your deep and broad technical expertise, coupled with your ability to engage commercially, translating seamlessly between business strategy, architecture and requirements, and technical solutions.
You’ll be able to pragmatically guide technical architects to deliver options, recommendations and solutions, aligned to roadmaps and technical strategy that you maintain. You will engage regularly with your peers and the business facing domain architects to ensure alignment, reuse and scalability of solutions across the group. You’ll be an inspiring thought leader, and have an executive presence, capable of senior executive communication, and co-authoring board papers.
