Key Responsibilities
Risk Identification & Assessment:
Proactively identify and analyze potential risks across all businesses and functions
Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and impact of various threats, such as supply chain disruptions, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, financial fluctuations, and regulatory changes.
Risk Analysis & Mitigation:
Monitor the effectiveness of existing controls and provide recommendations
Work collaboratively with business unit leaders to design and implement effective risk mitigation strategies and controls.
Monitoring & Reporting:
Maintain and update the company's risk registers, ensuring that all risks are accurately documented and tracked.
- Prepare and present clear, concise risk reports to senior management and relevant committees, providing actionable insights and status updates on key risk initiatives.
Develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to enable continuous monitoring of the company's risk profile.
Internal Collaboration & Leadership:
Serve as a trusted advisor to business units, fostering a culture of risk awareness and accountability throughout the organization.
Collaborate with other assurance providing internal functions such as internal audit and compliance functions to ensure alignment between risk assessments and audit plans, leveraging audit findings to inform risk management activities.
Self-Driven Initiatives:
Independently research and stay abreast of emerging risks and industry trends relevant to the IT distribution sector.
- Lead and manage small-to-medium risk-related projects from conception to completion with minimal supervision.
- Explore use cases of Generative AI and AI- agentic tools at different phases of risk management
Qualifications & Skills
Experience:
Minimum of 7-8 years of experience in Enterprise Risk Management. A background in the distribution industry and prior experience in business process management (BPM) and internal audit would be an added advantage
Skills:
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to connect disparate data points to identify emerging risks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate complex risk issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in any risk management software and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in working on SAP ERP
- Expert in data visualisation tools such as PowerBI/Tableau etc
Proficient in data analytics with ability to work with data and draw insights from them
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CA/CRMA, RIMS-CRMP, CIA) is a plus.
