We are looking for a Finance Executive (Accounts & FP&A) to join our dynamic finance team. This role is uniquely designed to give you exposure to both core accounting and financial planning & analysis (FP&A). You will maintain accurate books of accounts while also supporting the preparation of the company's annual operating plan (AOP), management dashboards, and financial models.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone early in their career who has a strong base in accounting, a flair for numbers, and is eager to learn strategic finance. You will work closely with senior finance professionals and the founders' office, gaining valuable experience in end-to-end finance operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update and maintain the integrated Business Plan (AOP)/financial model (student numbers, revenue, costs, margins, fund requirements).
- Record and reconcile accounting entries in Tally (AP, AR, bank, GL), ensuring compliance with AS/Ind-AS.
- Prepare MIS reports, dashboards, and variance analysis for management.
- Work with cross-functional teams (academics, marketing, HR) to gather inputs for financial planning and budgeting.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in commerce (B.Com / M.Com); CA Inter preferred.
- 2-4 years of experience/ Article ship in finance, FP&A, or accounting and experience in using tally and excel.
- Strong Excel & financial modelling skills (lookups, pivots, sensitivity analysis).
- Good understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow.
- Knowledge of Tally and accounting fundamentals.
- Prior exposure to education/edtech is a plus.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and translate business inputs into financial assumptions.
