Role Description

The Trade Channel Finance Executive plays a critical role in managing and optimizing the financial performance of trade and distribution channels. This position requires partnering with sales, marketing, and finance teams to develop, execute, and monitor sales, return and the requisite payments. The executive ensures that all activities align with the company's financial goals and regulatory standards.

How You will Add Value (Core responsibilities)

1- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Manage financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for trade channels.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate trade promotions, pricing strategies, and distribution costs.
  • Analyze sales performance, gross margins, and trade spend effectiveness across different channels.

2- Reporting & Analytics:

  • Provide detailed financial reporting and analysis on trade channel performance.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of trade investments.
  • Present insights to senior management to influence strategic decisions.

3- Collaboration & Business Partnering:

  • Act as a finance business partner to trade, sales, and marketing teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop trade marketing plans that align with financial objectives.
  • Assist in contract negotiations with distributors and trade partners from a financial perspective.

4- Risk Management & Compliance:

  • Ensure that trade channel activities adhere to regulatory and internal control standards.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures to minimize financial risk related to trade activities.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

5- Reconciliation with Customer Ledger:

  • Reconciling customer ledger with books to timely adjust CN, CD, invoices & return on quarterly basis.
  • Follow up on collection wherever delayed.
  • Maintaining DSO as per target.

What You Bring to The Team (Experience & Education)

Education:
 Graduation degree in accounting with at least 2 years of experience or freshers.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills and financial modeling expertise.
  • Proficiency with financial systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of trade and distribution channels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet tight deadlines.

Location: Andheri East, Mumbai

Working Days: Monday to Friday

Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 06:30 PM

Note: This role involves travelling to Surat Office
