Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Chennai
Reports to: CEO
Work Timings: 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM (Monday to Friday)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee all aspects of our company's financial health. You will be responsible for managing accounting operations, leading budgeting and forecasting, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing in-depth financial analysis to support senior leadership. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience and a strong ability to manage and mentor a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Analysis:
- Lead the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on key financial performance metrics to management.
- Provide strategic recommendations to improve financial performance and profitability.
- Management & Oversight:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end accounting operations, including the functions of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and the General Ledger.
- Manage and lead the month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Mentor, guide, and manage the performance of the Accounts Executive and junior finance staff.
- Compliance & Auditing:
- Take full responsibility for the Accounts Annual Closing and the end-to-end Statutory Audit process.
- Ensure full compliance with all statutory requirements, including GST, TDS, and income tax filings.
- Review and finalize tax returns before submission.
- Act as the primary point of contact and coordinator for all internal and external audits.
- Process Improvement:
- Drive the automation of routine tasks to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
- Lead the implementation and effective use of financial software (like Tally) as per company norms.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience:
5+ years of comprehensive experience in finance and accounting.
- Qualification:
B.Com or M.Com (M.Com preferred).
- Technical Skills:
Expert proficiency in Tally ERP 9, Tally Prime, and advanced MS Excel (for financial modeling, reporting, and analysis).
- Knowledge:
Strong, in-depth knowledge of Indian accounting standards, tax regulations (GST, TDS), and financial laws.
- Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical, strategic-thinking, leadership, and communication skills.
