ROLE OVERVIEW

The Finance Manager will oversee the financial operations of the organization, strengthen systems to ensure accurate record-keeping, compliance with statutory and donor requirements, and effective financial planning. The role also includes preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and supporting strategic decision-making to strengthen the organization's financial health.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations.

● Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.

● Ensure compliance with statutory regulations (PF, ESIC, GST, TDS) and donor/grant requirements.

● Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts, and oversee accounts payable and receivable.

● Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions and audits.

● Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring timely submission of reports.

● Support financial reporting for donors, grants, and stakeholders.

● Implement and maintain financial controls, policies, and procedures.

● Lead, mentor, and manage finance and accounts staff.

● Provide financial insights and recommendations to SANMAT management to support organizational planning and program management.

REQUIRED EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL SET

● Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA/CMA preferred.

● Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and accounting, preferably with exposure to non-profit organizations.

● Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and donor fund management.

● Proficiency in accounting software (Tally preferred) and MS Office.

● Excellent analytical, numerical, and reporting skills.

● Strong leadership, communication, and team management abilities.

● Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines (especially under pressure).
