Natalie Lue with Robert Half is recruiting for a Finance Manager. This is a full-time permanent role based in San Francisco with a hybrid/onsite schedule.


We are looking for a skilled Finance Manager to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role involves overseeing critical financial operations, including billing, collections, and accounting processes, while ensuring compliance and accuracy. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in law firm accounting and a proactive approach to managing financial workflows.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise billing operations to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.

• Manage and direct collections activities, focusing on effective resolution and client satisfaction.

• Oversee Client Trust account transactions, including receipt processing and disbursements.

• Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions with precision and adherence to policies.

• Maintain detailed and accurate Client Trust account records.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports on billing and collections, ensuring data integrity.

• Conduct vendor sanction checks in alignment with compliance standards.

• Utilize advanced Excel features to create formulas, functions, and process large datasets.

• Collaborate with the Director of Finance to align budgets, billing strategies, and collection goals.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance certification is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in law firm billing or accounting.

• At least 2 years of direct billing experience within a law firm environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks, including advanced functionalities.

• Strong ability to manage multiple tasks independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent collaboration skills, with the capacity to work effectively with attorneys and clients.

• Outstanding communication and time management capabilities.

• Demonstrated expertise in account reconciliation, journal entries, and supervisory roles.
