Finance Manager
to lead finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance for a fast-growing organization in the financial technology and digital assets space. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in taxation, statutory compliance, corporate finance, and trading book management, with a proven ability to provide strategic insights to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance & Strategy
- Manage preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR), TDS returns, GST returns, and Tax Audit Reports.
- Ensure accurate computation of advance tax, GST liabilities, and TDS, including crypto-related transactions.
- Develop tax optimization strategies while ensuring full statutory compliance.
- Advise management on implications of tax laws related to digital assets and financial transactions.
- Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
- Handle responses to notices, queries, and assessments from GST, Income Tax, FEMA, and other regulatory authorities.
- Stay updated on evolving taxation frameworks for digital assets and ensure timely compliance.
- Ensure compliance with FEMA, PMLA, SEBI, RBI, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and legal advisors on compliance matters.
- Corporate Finance & Strategic Initiatives
- Lead financial due diligence, structuring, and compliance for mergers, acquisitions, and digital asset transactions.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and equity management with proper tax structuring.
- Provide strategic financial insights to management on modeling, risk management, and tax implications.
- Internal Finance & Controls
- Oversee monthly closing of accounts, reconciliations, and tax provisioning.
- Manage budgeting, expense monitoring, and financial MIS reporting.
- Strengthen internal controls and governance across finance and compliance functions.
- Implement robust systems for audit trails, reconciliations, and risk monitoring.
- Trading Book & P&L Management
- Manage and monitor the organization's trading book with proper accounting and controls.
- Oversee profit & loss management for company operations and trading activities.
- Collaborate with risk, product, and operations teams to ensure compliance and accurate reporting.
- Tax & Statutory Audit
- Lead tax and statutory audit processes with timely and accurate submissions.
- Maintain proper documentation, audit trails, and reconciliations for all finance functions.
- Liaise with auditors and regulators for audit and tax queries.
Key Requirements
- CA qualification (mandatory) with 3–4 years post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience in taxation, audits, corporate finance, and P&L management.
- Hands-on experience in tax filings, reconciliations, and statutory/tax audits.
- Exposure to crypto exchanges, brokerage firms, trading book management, or fintechs is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of Income Tax, GST, FEMA, PMLA, corporate tax structuring, and crypto taxation frameworks.
- Strong analytical, communication, and drafting skills.
- Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and provide strategic financial insights.
