About the Opportunity

Join a dynamic, global organisation as the Financial Controller, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and operations of a complex, multi-regional business. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and strategic finance leader to drive process improvements, foster collaboration across regions, and deliver high-impact financial insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee global financial reporting, including month-end close processes, consolidations, and statutory compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Manage technical accounting requirements, including writing policies (e.g., global group revenue policy) and aligning regional practices.
• Drive strategic financial operations, such as insurance renewals, cost negotiations, and risk identification, with a focus on critical thinking and proactive problem-solving.
• Lead global consolidation efforts, working closely with a consolidation manager to streamline processes and transition from manual to system-based reporting (e.g., NetSuite).
• Collaborate with regional finance heads to unify siloed teams, challenge entrenched practices, and implement standardised processes.
• Provide insights into financial performance, including EBITDA management, and contribute to global tax strategy and transfer pricing initiatives.
• Support system enhancements and reporting automation, designing dynamic financial reports and optimizing chart of accounts structures.
• Manage a small team, build capability.

About You

We are seeking a commercially astute and strategically minded finance professional with the following:

• Proven experience in financial reporting, statutory compliance, and technical accounting, ideally within a global or multi-regional context.
• Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills, with the ability to identify risks, challenge assumptions, and drive cost efficiencies.
• High emotional intelligence (EQ) and interpersonal skills to navigate complex stakeholder relationships and unify diverse regional teams.
• Experience with global consolidations and month-end processes, with a track record of improving efficiency.
• Desirable: Background in industries with inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS), such as medical devices, FMCG, or pharmaceuticals.
• Knowledge of global tax strategies, including transfer pricing, is a plus.
• Familiarity with financial systems (e.g., NetSuite) and a vision for automating reporting processes.
• Ability to lead and influence senior stakeholders, including regional finance heads, while mentoring a small team.
