About the role
This position is 32 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with one non working day.
As the Global HR Business Partner, you will play an important role in aligning business objectives with people plans and local management teams across all functions in the business. You will serve as a human resource professional with a consultative and solution driven approach to working in partnership with line managers in our business.
In addition, you will be an employee engagement champion and ambassador of change in line with our global strategy. In doing so, you will provide line managers with the relevant tools and resources to develop capability in our people.
Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive HR Service across the geography to both line managers and employees
- Work in partnership with the rest of the HR Regional and Global Teams to effectively deliver the People Strategy
- Coach, advise and influence managers on employment law, HR policies and employee relations matters
- Develop and maintain strong business relationships with managers and others to improve work relationships, build morale, drive engagement and increase productivity and retention
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Manage local recruitment campaigns to support identification and selection of highly capable talent. Including managing global relocation secondments and ensuring employees have the necessary work permits and tax alignment
- Cooperate with payroll to ensure proper and timely execution of pay
- Provide input to global/divisional initiatives, successfully execute these initiatives and provide feedback
- Support leaders across all functions in Van Hessen’s engagement efforts, including analysing survey results, determining key focus areas and developing action plans
- Develop relationship and provide support to other HR professionals in the regional and global HR team
About you
- Extensive experience in an HR business partnering role for a global organisation is essential, with this, you should possess a solid understanding of current employment law and HR best practice
- Dutch and English are essential as you must be able to converse professionally and fluently in both languages
- Further/higher education in human resources or business discipline is desirable
- Broad experience and knowledge of general HR, compensation reviews, benefits and reward, L&D, ideally within the manufacturing or similar industry
- Possess excellent numeracy skills with advanced Excel skills is essential for this role
- Experience with leading and supporting in various HR projects, i.e. HR Policy etc would be highly advantageous
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to exercise good judgement
- Good investigative and analytical skills to be able to deal with the complexities arising from employee relations
- Strong coaching and development skills with ability to influence and build credibility in providing guidance and advice to colleagues
- Must have a solution-driven approach and be proactive in addressing challenges
