About the role:
We're looking for a
Head of Finance
to join our growing Consumer Finance team. This is a highly visible role that blends
strategic finance and analytical depth
, supporting leadership across Marketing, Product, and Operations to drive growth and efficiency. You'll own financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting—turning complex data into clear business insights that guide decision-making at the highest level. The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, technical fluency, and a deep understanding of how accounting and FP&A work together to tell the full story behind the numbers.
This role is expected to be in person in our NYC office (Hybrid) and will report to our CFO, VidaCorp in our Melbourne office.
What You'll Do
- Lead the full financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, and monthly performance reviews.
- Build and refine models that connect revenue, cost, and operational drivers to business outcomes.
- Partner with leaders across the business to evaluate initiatives, optimize spend, and identify opportunities for margin improvement.
- Deliver clear, data-backed recommendations that influence strategy and investment decisions.
- Develop dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that enable transparency and accountability.
- Collaborate with accounting to ensure reporting accuracy and alignment between financials and forecasts.
- Prepare and present insights for executive meetings and business reviews.
- Support strategic projects such as new market assessments, pricing analysis, and scenario planning.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CPA or MBA a plus.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related analytical roles.
- Strong command of financial statements, forecasting techniques, and business modeling.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency and comfort working with large datasets.
- Ability to translate data into actionable insights and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong collaboration skills and business curiosity—you dig beyond surface-level trends to uncover drivers and solutions.
- Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience in consumer, retail, or tech environments a plus.
