Major Activities
Quality Management
Key accountabilities and deliverables:
Quality Management System (QMS):
- Establish, implement, and maintain robust QMS across projects and operations. Define and roll out a unified Quality Policy aligned with organizational vision.
- Ensure compliance with ISO and applicable regulatory requirements. Develop Quality Management System (QMS) based on ISO 9001 and project-specific quality requirements.
- Technical due diligence of WTG and solar and new emerging technologies
- Handling and management of 3rd party inspectors at vendor place (In process and Finish good inspections) and project (Filed quality monitoring) and track nonconformance and its logical closure
- Establish and maintain quality agreements with vendors, clearly defining quality expectations, performance metrics, and responsibilities.
- Non-Conformance Management: Investigate and resolve quality-related issues and non-conformances with vendors promptly. Collaborate with vendors to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to address root causes and prevent future quality issues.
- Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive quality management system to ensure products and services meet or exceed established quality standards and regulatory requirements. Integrate quality protocols from pre-bid engineering to commissioning and O&M phase.
- Establish gates and checkpoints for engineering reviews, material inspections, and milestone validations.
- Lead internal and external audits; drive continual improvement initiatives.
Project Quality Assurance/Control:
- Define structured Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across project stages.
- Strengthen FAT, SAT, and site inspection protocols with traceable documentation and digital tools.
- Adopt digital quality dashboards, non-conformance tracking systems, and real-time quality data analytics.
- Integrate quality KPIs with project management and execution tools.
- Review and approve inspection test plans (ITPs), FAT/SAT procedures, and QAPs.
- Coordinate with project and site teams for quality compliance and NCR resolution.
Vendor and Supply Chain Quality:
- Vendor/contractor technical DD and support the new vendor development to optimize the cost and delivery schedule
- Oversee vendor audits, capability assessments, and quality performance tracking.
- Drive improvements in supply quality across critical components (modules, inverters, transformers, MMS, cables, etc.).
Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Institutionalize a system to capture deviations, conduct RCAs, and drive timely CAPA implementation.
- Use feedback loops from execution to enhance future designs and material specs.
Technical Innovation & Developing Solutions
- Adopt digital quality dashboards, non-conformance tracking systems, and real-time quality data analytics.
- Integrate quality KPIs with project management and execution tools..
Business Planning & Budget Forecasting
- Budget allocation for quality engineers, inspectors, and specialists at HO, factories, and project sites — including training, certifications (e.g., ISO, NDT),
- Provision for quality tools (measuring instruments, test kits), digital platforms (QMS software, NCR tracking), third-party inspections, lab testing, and vendor audits
Developing self and others
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs on quality standards, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem-solving.
- Promote a culture of zero-defect and first-time-right execution
Management Functions
- Provide quality assurance reports to internal management, clients, and lenders.
- Showcase quality credentials through certifications, audit clearances, and compliance records.
Interface with Hong Kong
- Showcase quality credentials through certifications, audit clearances, and compliance records
