Hogan Software Developer (Senior / Regular)

Location: Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide

Contract Type: 12 month contract

About the Role

We are seeking experienced Hogan Software Developers to join our team, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions for clients within the banking and finance industry. The role involves both hands-on technical work as well as leadership responsibilities, where you will act as an SME (Subject Matter Expert) in Hogan products related to banking solution architecture and account applications, such as DDA/TDA, ODS, Loans, Deposits, Customer Information, PAS, and more.

Key Responsibilities

Work as a key member of the Hogan Managed Services Team.
Lead and provide architecture solutions for complex banking systems and applications.
Estimate, design, code, test, and implement application changes, moving them to a BAU (Business as Usual) state.
Perform regular risk assessments and manage associated risks.
Provide mentorship and knowledge sharing to team members.
Take a leadership role in project execution, ensuring that competing priorities are managed effectively.
Provide overnight on-call production support (on a roster basis).
Manage incident and problem resolution, along with periodic monitoring and health checks.
Develop and deliver technical designs, coding, unit/system testing, and support implementation efforts.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

Senior:

10+ years of experience with the Hogan suite of applications (DDA/TDA, ODS, Loans, Deposits, etc.).
Proven experience in banking solution architecture and successful project delivery.
Strong leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
Solid knowledge of the Banking and Finance industry.
Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously, with a disciplined and organized approach.

Regular:

5-10 years of experience with Hogan applications and mainframe technology (COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, IMS).
At least 2 years of Hogan product experience with focus on Loans / Deposits / Customer Information / ODS / PAS / CAMS.
Strong team player with an ability to balance competing priorities.
Experience in the banking and finance industry.
Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as a strong desire to learn and share knowledge with others.

Desired Skills

Team leadership and mentoring experience.
Familiarity with technical designs, Q&A, coding, and system testing.
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and incident management.
