About us:
Infection Control practitioners coordinate activities designed to prevent, monitor, and manage healthcare associated infections and is therefore an integral component of the contemporary healthcare system. Essential to the success of these activities is the recognition by all healthcare workers that effective infection prevention, surveillance and control requires a multidisciplinary approach and commitment. Infection control activities, policies and procedures are based on legislative requirements, international and national guidelines, and Australian Standards.
Infection Control practices across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service are guided by the CQHHS Infection Control Management Plan (PDF, 93 KB), in accordance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (in particular - Standard 3: Preventing and Controlling Healthcare Associated Infections.
About the role:
A Clinical Facilitator Grade 6 is a Registered Nurse who:
(a) provides nursing services in health service settings; and
(b) is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education and/or research.
The activities required of roles at this level are predominantly clinical in nature, but also provide support to a Practice Leader - Infection Control in management activities and in advocating for and providing advice to the business units across Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service on contemporary infection control practices to meet the business unit's strategic and operational objectives, Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Quality, Safety & Risk strategic priorities and the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) National Standards.
About you:
Mandatory qualification/s: Current nursing registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
