Full-Time (RN) Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist
Responsibilities of a (RN) Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist:
- Provide patient care based on scientific principles/nursing theory and evidence-based practice.
- Recognize change in the patient’s condition and intervene appropriately.
- Prioritize nursing actions including reflecting patient needs, acuity, and desired outcomes.
- Implement physician orders accurately within appropriate time frames.
- Educate and counsel patients and their families on care planning processes and issues.
- Other duties as assigned by Assistant Director of Nursing, Director of Nursing or Administrator.
- Infection Control experience preferred.
- Long Term Care Experience required
- Infection Preventionist Certification with the CDC preferred
- Must have an Active (RN) Registered Nurse License in WI.
- IPC Certification through the CDC
