Job Title: IT Desktop Support Technician

Expected Hours: 40 hours per week
Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on-site technical support, hardware/software troubleshooting, and smart hands services. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience supporting IT infrastructure in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral hardware/software troubleshooting and support.
- Perform installations and break/fix services while ensuring compliance with customer security and warranty policies.
- Support end users with issues related to Windows OS, MAC/Linux OS (preferred), and desktop applications.
- Offer network support including smart hands activities for LAN/WAN infrastructure under instruction-based tasks.
- Provide support for basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP).
- Troubleshoot network cabling issues and peripheral/network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, racks, etc.).
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain effective communication with users and stakeholders.
- Maintain timely and accurate ticket updates using tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement preventive actions as part of problem management.
- Document all issues and solutions clearly and thoroughly.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of IT desktop support or field support experience.
- Associate Degree in Electronics or related field (preferred).
- CompTIA A+ certification (preferred).
- OEM certifications (Dell, Toshiba, Lenovo, etc.) are a plus.
- Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
- Strong communication, time management, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to lift/move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Flexible to work varying schedules as needed.
