About the role

We are excited to announce a pivotal opportunity for a IT – Manager (GroundProbe) role to join our esteemed team in our GroundProbe Queensland - Office.

The IT Manager at GroundProbe is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of the company's IT services. This includes managing Network & Communications, Infrastructure, Applications, Workplace Technology, and Cyber Security. The role involves protecting physical IT assets, ensuring compliance and resilience, and planning technical changes to maintain security and functionality across multiple regions.

The IT Manager supports GroundProbe's customer-facing technologies, ensuring they are secure, resilient, and well-maintained. This role is crucial for maintaining the overall IT infrastructure and supporting the technological needs of the organization.

What you will be doing

The IT Manager at GroundProbe plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational integrity and efficiency of the company's IT services. This includes managing the performance, security, and scalability of software applications, particularly the support and continuous improvement of the organisations Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP. The IT Manager is also responsible for overseeing the maintenance and optimization of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and workstations. Ensuring robust security measures are in place to protect IT systems and data is another key responsibility, along with leading and developing the IT team to foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

This IT Manager role will manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effective services and manage IT projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The role also involves aligning IT service delivery with Orica IT service levels to minimize business disruptions, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, and managing IT audits. Financial management is another critical aspect, including budgeting, cost control, and aligning IT investments with business goals. Finally, the IT Manager works closely with the Orica IT team to improve integration between Orica and GroundProbe IT systems, maintaining trusted advisor status with GroundProbe management to ensure IT strategies support business objectives.

You’ll also play a critical role in supporting our global GSS teams, ensuring the IT infrastructure and communication systems that allow for real-time, remote customer monitoring are reliable, secure, and maintained at the highest standard.

What you will bring

• Degree or IT industry certifications
• At least 10 years’ experience managing an IT team in a commercial environment.
• Proficiency in managing IT infrastructure, applications, network & communications, workplace technology, and cyber security.
• Strong leadership skills to mentor and develop the IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Proven ability to plan, execute, and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Demonstrated ability to align Technology strategy with business needs
