We are looking for a school leaver to join our team as an Information Technology Trainee in 2026, based in Cooma, NSW. A traineeship with Snowy Hydro is a unique opportunity to complete a TAFE qualification whilst gaining real world, on-the-job experience.
To be a Snowy Hydro trainee, you will be someone:- Will finish year 12 in 2025
- Has a strong desire to learn about Technology and a curiosity about how business works
- is committed to furthering their skills and knowledge through on-the-job learning and study
- Can ‘think outside the box', help the team problem-solve and bring new ideas
- Is a strong communicator with good interpersonal skills and enjoys being part of a team
- Has a keen eye for detail, good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
- Is proactive, punctual and reliable
- Shares the Snowy Hydro values of safety, teamwork, agility, decency, ownership and courage.
This traineeship will be an active part of our team, providing technical support to the business.
- Be employed on a full-time 24-month (2 year) contract and be paid to learn and expand your knowledge and experience (adding valuable skills and experience to your CV).
- Upon successful completion of your TAFE course, have gained an accredited Certificate III in Information Technology.
- Be working with experts in their field, who will teach, mentor and support you through every step of your traineeship.
- Build a supportive peer network with all levels within the business to share your ideas and experiences.
