Old Hickory is looking to hire an experienced IT Business Analyst, who will be responsible for understanding and helping to optimize business technologies across multiple functional areas. The IT Business Analyst is responsible for understanding the business in multiple functional areas. The IT Business Analyst will help maintain relationships within the business and leverage requirements, software development practices and methods to enable improved business processes to drive success. The IT Business Analyst would align business strategies and capability needs into business and technical requirements to ensure IT systems enable the desired value. The IT Business Analyst will also assist in evaluation, testing, and validation of the company's IT systems.

Essential Functions:
· Conducts comprehensive analysis of existing business processes and applications to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for technological improvement.
· Collaborates with stakeholders across various business units to elicit, analyze, and document requirements and translate these requirements into clear and concise user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
· Acts as a key liaison, facilitating communication and understanding between the software development team, quality assurance, and business stakeholders.
· Participates actively in all agile team meetings and partners with other team members to investigate issues, perform root cause analysis, and document findings to resolve software defects and prevent future occurrences.
· Helps determine and document root causes when an issue occurs and collaborate and document finding and fixing bugs.
· Assists with quality assurance testing to ensure new features and enhancements are reliable, functional, and user-friendly.
· Helps to coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and helps IT training staff to conduct end-user training as needed.
· Creates and maintains vital project documentation, including process maps, technical specifications, and user documentation to clarify business processes and system functionality.
· Assists with technology related questions/problems from internal users as well as external business partners.
· Other projects or duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Knowledge of best practices for IT business analysis processes and functions (from both industry and strategic standpoint), including requirements elicitation methods.
· Ability to ensure objectives are clearly defined and requirements are aligned to project scope, objectives, and strategies.
· Ability to lead elicitation sessions using variety of requirements gathering methods such as interviews, documentation analysis, surveys, site visits, business models with executives, managers, developers, and subject matter experts.
· Ability to facilitate the IT team through analysis of complex business decisions, process analysis and re-engineering, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment.
· Ability to meet deadlines and effectively handle multiple complex projects simultaneously, both working alone and with a team.
· A broad knowledge of software applications, networks, and an understanding of basic relational database concepts.
· 1 - 5 year(s) of experience working on software projects.
· Highly productive and attentive to detail; demonstrates excellent listening, communication, organizational, and facilitation skills; demonstrates willingness and ability to adjust to change rapidly, is flexible in a variety of situations, and is self-motivated to continuously learn new skills.
· Ability to meet deadlines and effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously, both working alone and with a team
· Experience with JIRA preferred
· Experience with Salesforce preferred
· Experience in Agile methodologies preferred
