We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our information technology team in Central New Jersey. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals with a strong interest in turning data into actionable business insights. The role offers a hybrid work arrangement, with flexibility to work remotely part of the week and on-site for collaboration and team meetings.

The Role

The Data Analyst will work with our Finance, Sales and Operations teams to garner knowledge from our data for business needs.

Accountabilities

  • Collect, clean, and organize data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform descriptive and diagnostic analysis to identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings to business stakeholders.
  • Assist with ad-hoc data requests, queries, and reporting for different departments.
  • Support the team in developing KPIs and tracking performance metrics.
  • Document processes, data definitions, and best practices to improve data governance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data pipelines, dashboards and reports meet business needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence (internships, academic projects, or co-ops are acceptable).
  • Proficiency in SQL for querying databases.
  • Experienced with data visualization tools.
  • Experienced in leveraging APIs to securely integrate cloud-based data into dashboards and models.
  • Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving ability, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, set goals and manage multiple tasks under time constraints.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of best practices for secure data access.
  • Knowledge of database design, data warehousing concepts and cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of advanced analytics, machine learning and statistical modeling concepts.
  • Understanding of basic business processes with experience preferred in mechanical construction.

Certifications required:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) required upon hire. Binsky will provide.
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identify Fundamentals (SC-900) within 90 days of hire. Binsky will provide.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) within 90 days of hire. Binsky will provide.
